The extension and refurbishment of this high profile facility included the addition of three function rooms, cafe, brad, commercial kitchen, gaming facilities and staff offices all overlooking the beautiful Coolangatta Beach. The new extension increased the seating capacity from 175 to a lofty 300 seats.

The facility was constructed as a staged build to allow the existing facility’s bar and restaurant to remain operational during the build. A sound relationship with project stakeholders ensured project success with the building being completed some three months ahead of a ten month project with optimal quality achieved. The building incorporated a two level construct made up of a suspended concrete slab, galvanized structural steel, metal sheet roofing, rendered block work and scyon cladding. Internally the building was constructed to achieve optimal acoustic properties, along with cutting edge technology that would best utilise the existing environment.
