Our Approach to Modern Slavery
Bennett has a strong commitment to its values of acting ethically, with integrity, compassion, and respect. In line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and values, we are committed to respecting and promoting human rights consistent with the Australian Government’s Modern Slavery Act.
Our commitment is underpinned by our zero-tolerance approach, focusing on people and inaction to reported cases of slavery.
At the end of every year, we’ll publish a Modern Slavery Statement which complies with the Australian Modern Slavery Act.
Our statement contains information on our organisation, the risks of modern slavery practices, and how we assess and mitigate these risks, how we track our performance, and how we collaborate with our stakeholders.
The health, safety, and wellbeing of our people and stakeholders, including people employed directly or indirectly within our supply chains, is a core value, further, we expect all our suppliers, consultants, and contractors (Suppliers) share this belief.
Expectations of our Suppliers are defined within our Supplier Code of Conduct, which contains important issues such as human rights, security, health, safety, and the environment, governance, and compliance.
If you would like a copy of Bennett’s Modern Slavery Policy Statement, the annual Modern Slavery Statement, or Supplier Code of Conduct, please request this through the Contact Us section on the website.
Disclosures of suspected wrongdoing in relation to modern slavery can be made directly to the responsible Bennett manager or anonymously through the Whistleblower Hotline – 1800 857 376 or Australian Human Rights Commission. The information you provide will be treated confidentially.
